The Fiskrete concrete business was started up in 2018 by Mike Fisk and was quickly joined by his son Harrison. But the Fisks had their hands elbow-deep in concrete long before that.
From the very start, Fiskrete has been built on values of professionalism, friendliness, and being straight-up reliable.
Meet The Fisk Boys
Mike Fisk
Grew up doing concrete work in the holidays with my dad, went off to become a mechanic but the concrete was in my veins, and for the last 28 years have been moving the mud.
Being an impatient man, I enjoy the quick turnaround of seeing a property transformed by concrete. I love the creativity that is involved in doing a concreting job.
Harrison Fisk
Been learning the trade since I could put on my gumboots. Would work in concrete during my school holidays with my dad. He taught me the value of a good work ethic by deducting an hour off my pay anytime I put my hands in my pockets. Now, my pockets are just for show.
Towards the end of high school, I began permanent employment with my grandfather, who also has a concreting company. I honed my skills there and became highly competent.
I gained experience as a foreman with other companies before deciding to join Dad as he set up Fiskrete.
How far do we go?
Fiskrete primarily provides Tauranga concrete services, but we know concrete is needed all over the place and we're happy to follow the concrete all over the Bay of Plenty. We complete projects in Rotorua, Waihi, and Whakatane.
